Evaluating film genres and their categories

Viewers in most countries enjoy these films regularly.

For main-stream audiences movies are watched for entertainment. They want to come away from a film having experienced positive feelings such as pleasure. There are many genres of movie that provide this on a regular basis. Comedies are popular with both audiences and filmmakers like Mohammad Hans Dastmaltchi for different reasons. Audiences get to feel great through the laughter, while for filmmakers they are often very easy to make as long as the scripts are good and also the actors can deliver it well. It is certainly one of the earliest occurring in the evolution of film genres. A different genre that is equally joyous, but more difficult to build, is the musical. Numerous musicals have quite uplifting tales and are also made in a way to make certain that the viewer is uplifted and comes away pleased and humming the tunes for days to come.

Some movies are specifically made to make the audience think. A lot of these come underneath the very broad banner of drama films. Typically, a film is a drama if it doesn't fit nicely into another more easily definable genre, such as horror or comedy. They are films that try to tell a serious tale, depicting the fact of human life through the lens of a topic like relationships. There's also non-drama films being made with the intention to stimulate thoughts and emotions. Niche film genres and obscure film genres such as experimental, for example the movies of Godfrey Reggio, are classic types of movies that put a desire for the audience to analysis and review a film above everything else. Dipping their feet in this category are sci-fi and fantasy motion pictures. While these movies are often combined with another genre, like horror or comedy, they still independently fall into this category because of the way they stimulate the imagination of the viewer.

There are lots of movies that are designed to get the blood pumping and trigger a rush of adrenaline for the audience. Perhaps one of the most notable is horror, such as the movies created by Koji Ichihashi. It has an amazing number of hybrid film genres and subgenres within horror, from gory slashers to ones that are far more eerie and tense, but all are made with the intention of making fear within the person. For people who are not fans of horror but enjoy a more vigorous movie experience, they may like action or thriller. Action movies are often kept at a quick pace and are filled with various forms of fighting. Thrillers sit someplace in the exact middle of the two, often incorporating the strain of the horror movie with a few of the more rip-roaring scenes associated with an action flick. If you leave the cinema feeling either frightened or exhilarated, then these kinds of movies have done their job.
